DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide basic personal care to clients such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting assistance, feeding, etc. Help clients move around and transfer as needed. 
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks like cooking meals, cleaning, laundry, changing bed linens, shopping for groceries/necessities. 
  • Monitor client's health condition. Take vital signs, check for skin issues, report any concerns. Administer medications and treatments per care plan. 
  • Assist with mobility using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, braces as appropriate. Help with range-of-motion and other exercises as prescribed. 
  • Engage clients in mental, physical, and social activities. Provide companionship through conversation, games, shared meals, accompany on outings or appointments. 
  • Maintain documentation on client health status, care provided, changes observed. Record time logs of visits accurately. Report to care manager regularly. 
  • Comply with privacy rights and treat all personal client information as confidential. 
  • Provide care in a compassionate, patient, and professional manner. Display cultural/individual sensitivity and accommodate client preferences. 
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures. Use equipment properly including disinfecting. Practice infection control diligently. 
  • Peg tube care and handling, patient hygiene, cleaning and care, timely application of medicines, catheter application and removal, and mobility assistance, companionship and emotional support 
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned rooms, halls, lobbies, and entrance ways. Clean walls, windows, doors, carpets, air vents, fixtures, and other furnishings appropriately. Disinfect surfaces including bathroom and kitchen areas. Take out trash and recyclables to designated bins or external collection points. 
  • Replenish consumable supplies for bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas including paper products, soap, and sanitizer. Notify supervisors when additional cleaning supplies are needed. 
  • Uphold security protocols and check for maintenance troubles that need addressing when cleaning designated areas. Report hazards, leaks, breakages, or security breaches promptly. 
  • Use cleaning agents, chemicals, and power equipment such as vacuums, scrubbing machines, pressure washers correctly per established procedures. Maintain equipment and tools in functioning order. 
  • Comply with health, environmental, and workplace regulations including proper handling of hazardous materials and chemicals. Observe safety precautions for example, wearing protective gear when required. 
  • Support special cleaning projects and assist with emergency cleaning situations like spills or floods if required. Continuously inspect one's work and respond to quality lapses. 
  • Provide instructional support to teachers in classrooms, small groups, and one-on­one interventions 
  • Assist with preparation of teaching materials, displays, equipment, and classroom supplies 
  • Facilitate student use of learning aids, technology, and educational software
