DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides nursing care to the patient to prevent complications such as frequent turning and good skin care to prevent bed sores.
• Monitors and records vital signs.
• Monitors and records blood sugar level.
• Administers insulin pen as a prescribed and basing on the sliding scale.
• Administers medications as prescribed by physician.
• Operates and uses medical apparatus (pulse oximeter, concentrator, nebulizer and oxygen cylinder.
• Tracheostomy care.
• NGT/PEG feeding and care
• Arranges medical appointments and transportation to and from the hospital.
• Orders and pick up of medications and medical supplies.
