DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hired predominantly to care for new-borns for either overnight shifts or around the clock care.
• Works independently with only minimal guidance from the parents.
• Familiar with the behaviours, appearance, and general care of the new-born.
• Well versed in various sleep conditioning methods and can develop a  successful plan to getting the baby to sleep through the night and nap well as soon as reasonably possible in a healthy manner.
• Caring for babies – changing nappies, making up bottles, weaning.
• Helping the children to get dressed.
• Planning fun and age-appropriate activities such as arts, crafts, cooking.
• Caring for the children when they are sick, including giving appropriate medication.
• Taking the children to the park, museum, library etc.
• Making/changing the children’s beds and keeping their rooms clean and tidy.
• Preparing packed lunches or snacks to eat during activities, trips, or outings.
• Doing all the household cleaning, laundry, ironing etc.
• Preparing and cooking meals and snacks for the entire family, guests, and children regularly.
• Running errands including dry cleaning, grocery shopping, post office,.House or pet sitting.
• Liaising with tradespeople, taking phone calls, sending post etc.
