Work History

  • Perform nursing assessment, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care rendered.
  • Observe & monitor patient for under development and refer as necessary.
  • Nursing documentation in a brief accurate and complete manner.
  • Work inter dependently with other health professionals.
  • Intravenous cannulation, insertion of urinary catheter, nasogastric tube, wound dressing,
  • Care of drains after surgery, skin preparation, colostomy care, suture removal, and phototherapy.
  • Assist physician during minor procedures such as intercostal drainage, cut down, lumbar puncture, incision and drainage, endo tracheal intubation and extubation, umbilical catheterization.
  • Collect blood sample necessary for blood investigations.
  • Initiate CPR during cardio pulmonary arrest.
  • Set up tubing’s for mechanical ventilators and device check for ready use.
  • Operate certain equipment’s used in the unit.
  • Administer oral and IV drugs as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Check narcotics and Psychotropic drugs in each shift.
